Awards

ICEA Awards

These awards recognize outstanding individuals and organizations throughout Iowa that have demonstrated exceptional commitment and service to lifelong learning and community involvement. Awards are given in the following categories:

Professional Service
Presented to a community education professional who has exemplified outstanding community-level leadership in developing community education.

Citizen Leadership
Presented to a community member who has rendered exemplary leadership and service in developing the principles of community education in the community.

Outstanding Organization
Presented to an agency, organization, or institution at the local or state level that has exemplified leadership and involvement in the principles of community education.

Multicultural Leadership and Involvement
Presented to an agency, organization, institution or individual who has demonstrated a commitment to promoting, developing, and nurturing leadership opportunities for persons of diverse ethnic and/or cultural background.

Nominations are generally taken during the month of August/September and are announced at the annual ICEA Conference in October. Watch here for nomination forms.
