Volunteerism

Volunteers enlarge the impact of community education by providing human resource support for everything from tutoring to coaching. Information, networking and support for volunteers can be found at the national, state and local levels.

Volunteering and service receives support from across the political landscape, as is demonstrated by the passage of the 2009 Edward M. Kennedy Serve America Act, championed by Senators Edward Kennedy and Orrin Hatch.
